Root canal treatment preserves a tooth and saves many teeth that would otherwise be lost. A properly done Root canal followed by a crown to cover a tooth can last for a longer time if maintained well. This procedure is painless as it is done under local anesthesia. At DentArc we have highly experienced Root canal specialists who can perform the procedure in a single sitting also depending from case to case. TEETH WHITENING

First Impression is the Last Impression and to make an everlasting impression nothing works better than a sparkling million dollar smile. Teeth whitening is an accessible and easy way to instantly improve appearance and create a positive first impression. Bleaching helps to restore a natural tooth shade or whitening beyond the natural shade.

External stains are caused by the following factors:
  • 1. Aging
  • 2. Pigmentation caused by tea, coffee, turmeric, colored food, etc.
  • 3.Improper oral hygiene habits.

Teeth Whitening is an oxidation process where free oxygen attaches to stains causing them to disappear. It does not harm the enamel layer and has no side effects. Bleaching is one of the most routinely done treatments. Other than the routine office bleaching products, at DentArc, we also have an option for laser teeth whitening. It removes the stains present on the teeth and makes the teeth 2 or 3 shades lighter. There are no serious side effects of Teeth Whitening. There may be a temporary sensitivity of teeth which may last up to a week.

EXTRACTIONS & WISDOM TOOTH EXTRACTIONS

Tooth Extractions

Tooth Extraction is the removal of a decayed tooth under local anaesthesia It is done in cases when it is not possible to salvage the tooth by any other dental treatment.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Wisdom teeth are also referred to as the third molars but they often cause a problem during their eruption (breaking through the gum tissue). They may only erupt partially as there is less space in the jaw. Also, they may be embedded completely in the jaw bone. They exert pressure on other teeth causing pain and hence have to be extracted. So if infected it is best to extract them. At DentArc we perform surgical removal of teeth which is done by our oral surgeons. Surgical extractions are done to remove the teeth that are not easily accessible if they are not yet fully erupted or still under the gum line.

DENTURES

Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth. When a tooth or teeth are badly damaged they have to be extracted. If not replaced in time the adjacent teeth drift into the space leading to chewing problems. So it is essential to replace missing teeth.

Different Types of Dentures :

Complete Dentures:

These are made when all natural teeth are missing or removed. They can be conventional or immediate. Conventional dentures can be made about few weeks after the teeth have been extracted, depending on the healing of the extraction site.

Usually, a complete denture takes a minimum of 5 to 7 Visits. They are removable. One has to remove them at night and for cleaning.

Immediate Dentures:

They are made in advance and can be placed as soon as the teeth are removed. Measurements are taken prior to the extractions to fabricate the dentures. As the bones and gums shrink during healing period after tooth extraction, they might become loose and have to be adjusted.

Implant supported Dentures:

Lower dentures are usually ill-fitting because of the movements of the tongue and lips. Also in cases when the bone height/width is not enough, implant supported dentures are made. Implants are placed in the jaw bone and semi-fixed dentures are made on them. (See the section of dental implant)

Partial dentures:

When one or more teeth are missing partial dentures are made. They are removable and have to be removed at night and for cleaning.

CROWNS AND BRIDGES

Crown is otherwise known as "a cap" is a dental restoration which covers the entire tooth. It may be required in case of :

  • 1. Root canal treated teeth.
  • 2. Broken down old or very large fillings.
  • 3. Fractured, chipped or sensitive teeth.
  • 4. Discolored unesthetic teeth.
  • 5. Large old silver fillings

The Bridge is used to replace one or several teeth. A bridge is placed in case of missing tooth/teeth with teeth on either side of the open space as support. The Bridge is fixed and cannot be removed by the patient.

GUM DEPIGMENTATION

Gum depigmentation, also known as gum bleaching, is a procedure used in cosmetic dentistry to lighten or remove black and brown pigments or patches on the gums caused by melanin. Discoloration may also be caused by long-term use of certain medications.

GUM SURGERY

Some patients require a bit of gum removal not only for aesthetic reasons but to restore gum health and protect the teeth from any irregularity .dentists use various procedures to support the wellbeing and cosmetic appearance of gums.

overly gummy smiles or receding gums, unhealthy or diseased gums can most often be treated with relatively simple procedures performed by a periodontist.

procedures are subjective to individual circumstances and needs, but common treatments include gingivoplasty, gingivectomy (gum removal), gum grafts and laser gum treatment.

NIGHT GUARDS

So you just had a visit with your dentist about suspected bruxism and to no surprise, your dentist recommended a night guard. as your jaw might just be hurting, but not to worry because there are ways to get you into a comfortable night guard that won't break...

PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY

prevention is better than cure ...

Preventive dentistry is oral care that involves education, treatment, and practice of maintaining your teeth and gums. From daily brushing to annual dental cleanings, oral hygiene instructions to avoid cavities, gum diseases, enamel wear and more.

IMPLANT SURGERY

A dental implant is a fixed metal post that replaces the root of a missing tooth. An artificial tooth (crown) is placed on an extension of the post (abutment) on the dental implant, giving you the look of a real tooth. At DentArc we have an implantologists who is specialized for the field.

SPLINTING

In dentistry stabilization or splinting commonly refers to tying teeth together either unilaterally or bilaterally to convey increased stability to the entire unit.

DENTAL FILLINGS

if you could have fillings that matched the natural color of your teeth so well that nobody could tell the difference, would you choose that? we thought so…!at DentArc we do tooth-colored restorations/fillings that are safe, reliable, longlasting and easy to maintain, plus they look great.
